DURING CARASSAUGA HOURS ONLY
HOP ABOARD MISSISSAUGA TRANSIT DURING FESTIVAL HOURS AND RIDE FREE
ON REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY BUS ROUTES AND OUR CARASSAUGA SHUTTLE BUSES!
2010 Carassauga Bus Routes:
Each bus route connects their Destination Site(s) with the Hershey Centre site (except for Lithuania – see note beside Site #9 below).
Passport holders and any accompanying children 12-and-under can ride Free on both Carassauga shuttle buses AND on regularly-scheduled Mississauga Transit bus routes during Carassauga Festival operating hours. These are: Friday, May 28 (7:30pm – midnight); Saturday, May 29 (1pm to midnight); Sunday, May 30 (1-7pm). In consideration of the Opening Ceremonies on Friday night at 6pm, passport holders can also ride free on regularly-scheduled Mississauga Transit bus routes starting Friday night at 6pm. Special Carassauga shuttle buses will NOT commence until 7:30pm on Friday evening, however.
Two types of buses will be used: City of Mississauga buses, and smaller TransHelp buses (painted white and blue). Each bus will bear the Carassauga name either in/above the windshield, or along the side.
Each Carassauga bus stop will also be specially marked. A sign at each stop will provide the frequency of bus service and the approximate time of the first and last bus. Most stops are located on the road near the main entrance, and a listing of all Carassauga bus stops and their locations appears below. Some stops are regular Mississauga Transit bus stops, and others are temporary stops, so please check to ensure the bus arriving is a “Carassauga” bus before you climb on board!
At the Hershey Centre, each of 8 bus routes will have its own stop along Rose Cherry, either in front of the main arena where the tall flags are, or bordering the south edge of the main arena along the driveway into the parking lot. Carassauga Customer Service Representatives will be at the Hershey bus stops to interpret how the buses work and to address any service issues. Look for their information tent along sidewalk in front of the main Hershey arena if you have any questions.
Overflow Parking for the Hershey Centre site is available north of the Hershey Centre in a parking lot off Rose Cherry just west of Coopers Ave on the south side, plus on Coopers Ave and in industrial lots along Coopers travelling north from Rose Cherry. TransHelp buses will deliver passengers every 5 minutes to/from Coopers Ave and the Hershey Centre.
Call 5 mins Carassauga Bus Shuttle Hot Line if any questions or service issues, at 647-453-3010 or 647-454-3010. These phones will be responded to both in the days leading up to the Festival, and on the weekend itself.
