U.S.A. – State of Hawaii – Carassauga Festival

Aloha & Welcome to the Hawaii Pavilion! Our pavilion is hosted by the Hawaiian Pacific Magic and the Hawaiian Association of Peel. The Hawaiian Pacific Magic Dance Company, formed in 1982, started with five young dancers and eventually grew to 200 talented young artists who performed locally, nationally and internationally. With over 30 years’ experience sharing Hawaiian & Polynesian culture, community events and traditional dances, we are honoured to celebrate and share the Aloha Spirit! During the festival, we welcome you to learn and celebrate Hawaii’s rich culture. Mahalo for visiting!

ENTERTAINMENT:

Our performers bring to you the beauty and diversity of the Hawaiian and Polynesian islands, through song and dance, including the Hawaiian Hula, Tahitian Otea and New Zealand’s Maori Haka and Poi. Our performers, ages 3 to 90, are excited to entertain you with their dances, beaming smiles and colourful costumes; along with our drummers, as they hype you up with their pulsating rhythms!

CUISINE:

Hawaiian cuisine is a vibrant blend of native Hawaiian traditions and various multicultural influences including Polynesian, Japan, China, Portugal, Philippines. Several dishes featured include:

Kalua Pork – Slow-roasted shredded pork
Poké Bowl – fresh salmon with select vegetables – edamame, cucumber, avocado, lettuce, corn, onion – served over rice with ahi topping and sauce
Spam Musubi – Spam on rice, wrapped in nori
Loco Moco – Rice topped with a burger patty, fried egg and brown gravy

The Aloha Bar will be returning this year to serve Mai Tai and Blue Hawaii beverages!
