At our pavilion locations, you have the opportunity to participate in fun immersive activities. 

 

Countries of Africa Pavilion – PFFC – Main Bowl

  • Immerse yourself in the African vibe and hospitality
  • Visit their market place and interactive educational zone

Armenia Pavilion – Frank McKechnie CC – Gym

  • Participate and enjoy interactive demonstrations by Alyag (@makeonrepeat) featuring handcrafted beaded keepsakes. Try your hand at Armenian beading and create your own handmade bookmark to take home as a keepsake.
  • Witness a traditional Armenian wedding 
  • Learn to play chess or test your skills against a master. 

Canada Pavilion – PFFC – Rink 2

  • Try your hand at some Canadian Sports activities (basketball, foosball, hockey, football and soccer)
  • Visit the sports arena where you will see demonstrations of Canadian sports and your chance to try playing lacrosse, frisbee, golf, hockey and so much more

China Pavilion – PFFC – Main Bowl

  • Participate in interactive booth games inspired by traditional Chinese activities including: ancient Chinese Golf-like sport, Chinese football, coin tossing and blindfolded gong striking
  • Learn basic movements and experience Kungfu as a living sport

Countries of the Caribbean – Mississauga Valley CC – LC Taylor Auditorium

  • Enjoy some refreshing cocktails/mocktails from Grenada and yummy Salara from Guyana while you test out your football knowledge
  • Visit the interactive cricket corner and meet cricket experts

Croatia Pavilion – Mississauga Valley CC – Rink

Cyprus Pavilion – Burnhamthorpe CC – Applewood Hills Room

Egypt Pavilion – Canadian Coptic Centre 

Hawaii Pavilion – Burnhamthorpe CC – Rink

  • Try your hand at Moa Pahe‘e, a traditional Hawaiian dart-sliding game, similar to lawn bowling.
  • Take a photo in our outrigger canoe!
  • Come and visit our new “Tiki Bar” and try one of our delicious tropical cocktails featuring our Mai Tai, Blue Hawaii & Pina Colada!  

India Pavilion – PFFC – Rink 3

  • Try field hockey (India’s National Sport) with guidance from a hockey professional
  • Bollywood dance classes
  • Diya Painting in the kids zone (while supplies last) 

Indonesia Pavilion – PFFC – Sportsplex Building – Gym

  • Explore their “Champions” exhibit showcasing traditional sports artifacts like Sepak Takraw (woven rattan ball) alongside a special tribute to the nation’s legendary badminton champions.
  • Visit the culinary marketplace, highlighting beloved street foods and the world’s best instant noodle—Indomie

Iraq Pavilion – Burnhamthorpe CC – Rink

  • Explore the Kids Corner that will feature a mini soccer field to showcase the national sport of Iraq 
  • Visit the Henna Station 
  • Enjoy the Photo Booths 

Ireland Pavilion – PFFC – Sportsplex Building – Lobby 

  • Watch demonstrations and try a few moves as you learn about 2 sports unique to Ireland and Irish communities – Gaelic football and hurling
  • Don’t miss their dancers – every hour on the hour as they dazzle you with their fancy footwork and elaborate ceili dances, and you might even get to learn a step or two
  • Step into the pavilion for a magical chance to meet a mischievous leprechaun and the legendary St. Patrick—where surprises, laughter, and a touch of Irish luck await!

Lebanon Pavilion – Carmen Corbasson CC – Warren Marshall Arena

  • Take some memorable photos in their photo booth in an Arabian setting

Pakistan Pavilion – Carmen Corbasson CC – Ron Searle Arena

Philippines Pavilion – PFFC – Rink 4

  • Discover Philippines’ most iconic games and athletic traditions all in one place.  Featuring basketball, boxing, Arnis and Sipa/Sepal Takraw
  • Enjoy fun cultural games for all ages

Poland Pavilion – Mississauga Valley CC – Rink

Portugal Pavilion – Portuguese Cultural Centre of Mississauga

Turkiye Pavilion – Carmen Corbasson CC – Ron Searle Arena

  • Enjoy traditional Turkish arts and live workshops

Ukraine Pavilion – St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church

  • Enjoy authentic Ukrainian food
